Apple unveiled MacBook Air and MacBook Pro 13 types with M2 chips through 22 keynote speeches on the WWDC (World Developer Meeting) online at 10 am on the 6th (7 o’clock in Korea) on the 6th.

The MacBook Air has moved the design of the MacBook Air 14 and 16, which was released last year, and replaced the display with a Liquid Retina display like the iPad Pro. Webcam resolution has also been improved to 1080p (1920 × 1080 pixels).

MacBook Pro 13, on the other hand, matched the previous work and design released in November 2020, replaced the mounting processor with M2, and increased the maximum mounting memory to 24GB. Both products will be launched in July with Mac OS Monteray (12.1).

■ MacBook Air

Apple’s M1 Chip MacBook Air, which Apple released in November 2020, was not much different in the design and design of the Intel Chip MacBook Air, which was released in 2019. If you look at the two products side by side, it was difficult to distinguish between some keyboard arrangements.

On the other hand, the MacBook Air, which was released this time, has moved the design of the MacBook Air 14 and 16, which was released last year, including the M2 chip, the magnet charging cable, Max Safety, and the front FaceTime camera deployed in the menu bar. The design is also out of the existing wedges.

The existing MacBook Pro is equipped with two Thunderbolt (USB-C) terminals on the left side of the body, and only one terminal is left to plug the external device when the charging cable is placed. The new MacBook Air has solved this problem by adding a MaxLife terminal.

The border was reduced by putting the FaceTime camera on the menu bar area, which was added to the menu bar, and the diagonal length increased from 33.7cm to 34.5cm. In addition, the Liquid Retina display technology on the iPad Pro has expanded to up to 500 nits.

The design without a cooling fan is the same as the previous product, and the color has increased to four: silver, starlight, space gray and midnight.

The price is 8 core CPUs, 8-core GPUs, 8GB memory, 256GB SSD equipped products, 1.69 million won, 8-core CPU/10-core GPU, 8GB memory, and 512GB SSD equipped products.

Apple will continue to sell existing models with M1 chip without discontinuance. The price is 8core CPU/7 core GPUs and 8GB memory, and 256GB SSD equipped 1.39 million won.

■ MacBook Pro 13 can select up to 24GB of memory

Unlike the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13, which was released together, maintains the design at the time of its launch in November 2020.

There are two Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) terminals, the same as the display specifications (2560 × 1600 pixels) and the front FaceTime camera resolution (1280 × 720 pixels). However, the maximum equipped memory has increased by up to 24GB compared to its predecessor.

The processor costs 8 core CPUs, 10-core GPUs and 8GB memory, 256GB SSD equipped with 1.79 million won, and 512GB SSD equipped products are 2060,000 won. Domestic sales prices rose about 100,000 won due to the rising exchange rate. The domestic launch schedule is undecided.
