How to enable a variable renewal frequency on PS5
PlayStation 5 receives the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) function, which allows you to adjust the update frequency in real time on supported screens and in games. This feature improves visual performance by reducing frames with frame frequency, input delay and screen breaks.
After installing the VRR correction on the PS5, it will be automatically enabled if your console is connected to a supported display output, that is, TVs and monitors compatible with HDMI 2.1 VRR. If you want to disable it for any reason, you can do it out of screen and video Tab in system settings.
In addition, you can also include VRR for unsupported games for minor visual quality improvements. Here is a list of games mentioned in the PlayStation Blog for which VRR Support will be added first:
- Astro Game Room
- Service Debt: Avangard
- Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
- Fate 2.
- Special Edition Devil May Cry 5
- Dirt 5.
- Hooked
- Remastering man-spiderman from marvel
- Spiderman Marvel: Miles Morales
* Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
* Resident Evil Village
* Wonderland Countries Tina
* Tom Klancy Rainbow Six siege
* Midgarian tribes
