Fortnite: Battle Royale took the world by the storm in 2018. The third-person shooting game, free to play, has invaded the consoles, PCs and mobile phones everywhere with its colorful pitreses and its addictive mixture of taking View and construction.

But how many people play Fortnite these days? Well, the answer is not as simple as we would like it.

In January 2018, after Battle Royale 100 first days, Epic Games revealed that there were 45 million players from Fortnite. This number includes all PC players, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At E3 2018, EPIC made another announcement of the number of players by announcing the Fortnite World Cup. In the ad, EPIC said that Fortnite had reached 125 million players. The last announcement of the number of major players was that the game had reached 250 million users in March 2019.

However, there is a problem with these numbers because the number of Fortnite players can not be followed as they can with games like PlayerunkNown_-on-steam battle. Steam lists the number of players and several websites do the same. The number of people actively playing any game, not just free to play games like Fortnite, will never match the number of sales or recorded accounts.

Since Fortnite is executed directly via the Epic Games launcher, the number can not be officially quantified by anyone other than Epic Games itself. In March 2018, EPIC announced that the game had reached 8.3 million simultaneous players and a year later, in February 2019, Fortnite reached a new record of simultaneous players for the Marshmellow concert, which saw 10.7 million people connected at the same time.

Although it is impossible to know how many people currently play Fortnite daily, the game is always huge, almost bigger than you can really imagine. Players on mobile, console and PC enjoying all the game, it is safe to assume that Fortnite is not going anywhere, soon.
