Black desert online

Free NBA cosmetics supporting available black communities

Last updated 2 years ago

Take two companies like 2K and Rockstar Games have made small gestures as a result of George Floyd’s death last week. The online services of their games have been closed for a few hours in honor of Floyd’s life. Whether these actions are significant or not is debated, but 2K makes a little more in the NBA 2K20 community. Yesterday, after the recovery of their online services, the NBA 2K20 players were greeted by a commemorative message to George Floyd. Players could also buy a number of free cosmetics for their avatars at stake.

The three designs have slogans that are popular among protest protests against police brutality throughout the United States; The black lives count, I can not breathe and pronounce their names. These are all black shirts with white text, just like the Black Lives Matter logo designs. What is even more powerful is that players have come down in the digital streets of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a turntable for players to gather, play basketball and other games and activities. The steps were conducted in the game with players carrying their Black Live clothes Matter and raising your arms crossed.

We do not know how long these free cosmetics will be available in the Swags online store. Earlier in the year, NBA 2K20 also paid tribute to the Superstar of the NBA, Kobe Bryant, after his death. NBA players also brought shirts I Can not Breathe to protest police brutality after Eric Garner’s murder. We can only hope that there will be no more tragedies on the horizon for which communities will have to pay tribute. Although it’s small gestures, they can help communities online like this to heal and feel united in their grief, frustration and hope for the future. NBA 2K20 is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
