NBA News Cleveland Cavaliers allegedly at a trade for Sixers
After a series of offseason moves, the Cleveland Cavaliers are apparently interested in another squad production. The CAVs probably remain out their sensors after a potential trade for Ben Simmons.
This comes from a report by Marc Stein (Substack). Accordingly, Cleveland continues a hat in the ring to pilot Simmons by Trade from the Philadelphia 76ers to the CAVs. Kevin O’Connor (the Ringer) had already referred to the CAVs as Team to Watch in Simmons Poker.
The 25-year-old has reportedly requested a trade and even threaten a strike to start training camps when the Sixers do not thread a deal.
The CAVs apparently belong to a whole range of interested parties at the Triple All-Star, including allegedly the Minnesota Timberwolves, Toronto Raptors or San Antonio Spurs. The Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors were also interested in the summer of interest, but both teams should have taken distance from a potential Simmons commitment.
After the early playoff-from the Sixers in the second round against the Hawks, the signs of Simmons were already on farewell months ago. Apparently, the negotiations between the Sixers and rival teams have always failed but always at the high price expectations of Team President Daryl Morey.
For example, an offer of the CAVs could be compiled around Collin Sexton and Kevin Love and future picks. For both players, speculation ranked a premature farewell in the past few weeks.

Meanwhile, Cleveland has already been upgraded strongly in the offseason, especially in the FrontCourt. In addition to the contract extension with Center Jarrett Allen (5 years / 100 million dollars), the CAVs in the draft grabbed Position 3 Big Man Evan Mobley and later by Trade Lauri Markkanen.
